History, in all matters, is a gauge on how humanity is progressing or regressing. Hopefully we are progressing. Someone once defined economics as the use of scarce resources to satisfy our unlimited needs, wants, & desires. Some people, like Peter Diamandis, are claiming we are entering an age of abundance thanks in large part to our progress in technologies. How can we distribute wealth more equitably? Can we use history to find out? Will the age of abundance make it unnecessary to worry about distribution of wealth?
