History of Economic thought can provide us with more angles to think about the economics phenomena. Diversity of perspective is crucial for the development of a discipline.
In addition, Economics is a social science which attaches importance to the human behavior, I don’t think we can analyze human behaviors by mathematical deductions. I believe that, the methodology of history synthesis is very important for doing researches in economics, maybe more important than building mathematical models.
